Dr. Mike Russell, PT is a Las Vegas native with roots firmly planted in the Henderson area. His training was completed in 2007 at the department of physical therapy here at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. During that time, Dr. Russell earned the distinction of certified strength conditioning specialist. Since graduation, Dr. Russell has been providing hands on manual physical therapy and exercise for the treatment of running/training injuries.
Dr. Russell has been developing endurance based rehabilitation stretegies for all fitness levels. This type of treatment is unique to those who participate at all levels of running and cycling. Using a minimally effective dose (MED) based strategy athletes are able to train and compete all year long without developing injury. He is currently working with professional and semi-professional athletic teams, athletes, and recreational weekend warriors.
Family is the most important part of Dr. Russell’s life. He is married to Sara and they have 3 beautiful children; Madison, Luke, and Liam. Together, they enjoying spending time at the beach, visiting and hiking around Brianhead and Duck Creek.

Optimal Physical Therapy was originated in Henderson in 1982 and has since grown into Green Valley and Las Vegas. Our practice provides comprehensive physical therapy services for all ages with emphasis in neck and back pain, balance deficits, orthopedic injures, and post operative rehabilitation. We are experts with movement disorders and help people at levels of activity achieve their best. We provide the best evidence based therapy and are current with treatment strategies to reduce pain, provide stability at the spine, and restore independence in the home and in the community.
